Where Do I Post?

Some of you have questions about where to post the assignment. The assignment will be posted under the heading that matches from the Web Quest. Ex. The document under task titled Advertisement Dissection will be posted on the blog under Advertisement Dissection. If you posted it in the wrong place, that is ok, I have already read and graded all of them as of right now. Thank you so much for participating.

Let's Make a Meal...or three

Using the restaurants in the side bar labeled "Sites to Check Out", make a menu for one day using the least amount of calories and fat grams. You can go to more than one restaurant, but you will be eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You must eat full meals, not a side salad and a water!! You must also include a drink, you can use water, but only if that is what you would drink. I want you to post your menu along with the amount of calories, fat grams, and sugar.

Commercial Dissection

Pick one of the links under "Fast Food Makes Me Sexy", and view the commercial. After viewing the commercial blog about your thoughts. Does it make you want a burger? Why is it always females? Do you really think they eat that food? Talk about whatever you feel!! Next figure out the nutritional value of the item being eaten, and describe what the person would look like if that is what they truely ate.

Link Assignment

Select a link from the sidebar labeled "Links About Media". Read the entire article and comment on your feelings. Did you agree? If so, what needs to be done and how? Do you disagree? Why? Were you surprised about findings? Have you ever thought about these issues before?

Advertisement Dissection

Please answer the questions from the questionnaire about commercials. Please comment as much as you would like and add anything you find to be important, was there a hidden message? Does this advertisement directly effect a culture? Look at your friends findings and comment on at least one commercial dissection.

Media Quiz

How well did you do? Be honest!! Were you surprized about how much/little you knew? What surprized you the most? We are bombarded with mass media everyday, it is amazing how much we actually see in our lives. Comment on one of your friends quizzes.
